Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist
Shannon was born and raised in small town North Dakota and has lived in Oregon for 10 years. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2000 from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. After working in outpatient therapy for Novacare in Monticello, MN, she moved to Oregon, where two months later she began working for Providence Health and Services. Shannon started working at Providence in 2003 completing a mentorship in hand therapy and continuing her 10 years of service with them in specializing in treatment of hand injuries. Skill obtained while working over the past 13 years include specializing in splinting, delta cast application, and treating patients with persistent pain, repetitive stress disorders, fractures, arthritis and trauma. Shannon also has experience in acute care with Legacy Health System, skilled nursing and pediatrics, specifically sensory integration. Shannon joined Sanders Hand Therapy in August 2013 with the goal of providing more individualized care in an environment that supports increasing function in patients with hand injuries
Outside of work Shannon enjoys a nurturing and busy family life with her husband, Josh and 2 children Cole and Josie. She enjoys relaxing, wine tasting, reading, exercise and supporting the Beavers with her OSU alumni husband.
